    Abstract
    Uses the Bureaucratic Politics Model to examine and assess interagency collaboration in Afghanistan and its implications for foreign policy making. Reviews the principal components of the foreign policy bureaucracy. Identifies examples of interagency collaboration in Afghanistan and introduces the concept of the Provincial Reconstruction Teams. Efforts, as well as directives for interagency collaboration are discussed. Undertakes a multifaceted case study of some collaboration efforts as seen in Afghanistan. Provides suggestions for improved future interagency collaboration.
