Campus comparison, 1902-2009
This sketch by Mollie Denhard, Wheaton Class of 2010, compares the Wheaton buildings of 1902 with the present-day campus. Chapin Hall, on the left, and Mary Lyon Hall, on the right, are common to both. In 1902, Wheaton was a small institution on the verge of a massive expansion under President Samuel Valentine Cole. Within ten years, the campus would look completely different.
